Amid the possibility of a ‘friendly contest’ with the grand alliance on some seats in poll-bound Bihar, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi on Tuesday said differences in the opposition alliance are the result of their personal interests. Speaking to ANI, Union Minister Manjhi questioned the alliance’s ability to run the government even after winning the elections. Manjhi said that the people involved in the Congress, RJD or Hindustani Awam Morcha (Bharat) alliance are for their personal interests… When it comes to personal interests, it is natural to have differences… Now they (grand alliance) are saying that they are having friendly competition on many seats. Can this even happen? The public will answer this in the elections.

The Union Minister said that if you cannot remain united in the alliance, then even if you get a chance, you will interfere in government formation… Today you will form a government which will break tomorrow. The former Chief Minister of Bihar stressed the need for a stable government for development and said this was possible with the NDA. He said, “Unless there is a stable government, there will be no development in any state or country. This is possible only with the NDA… NDA government will be formed, the state will be served and the double engine government will gain momentum.”
