A case of murder of a woman by allegedly hanging her one year old daughter has come to light in Sadar Kotwali police station area of Mahoba district on Wednesday. A police officer gave this information.
The officer said that the accused woman has been taken into custody. Deputy Superintendent of Police (CO) of Sadar area, Arun Kumar Singh said that on Wednesday information was received that a woman has murdered her one-year-old daughter by hanging herself in Subhash Nagar locality.
He told that the police reached the spot, took possession of the girl’s body and sent it for postmortem and are interrogating the accused woman Khushboo (mother of the girl) in custody.
Police quoted the accused’s mother Umarani as saying that Khushboo was married in Charkhari town and was living in her maternal home (Subhash Nagar locality) for several months after having a rift with her husband. She was reportedly suffering from depression.
