The air quality in the national capital remained in the ‘poor category’ for the second consecutive day on Wednesday morning and the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 210. AQI 201 was recorded in Delhi on Tuesday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 18.3 degrees Celsius, 1.3 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the Meteorological Department has predicted fog in the morning and clear sky later.
According to IMD, the relative humidity at 8.30 am was 89 percent. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
