Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan arrived at Ludhiana on Tuesday. This is the second state of agriculture visit to the Union Agriculture Minister after floods in Punjab during the monsoon season.
The Agriculture Minister visited the ICAR corn research center in Ladowal. He held a meeting with officials, assessed the organization’s work and inaugurated the new building of the organization. Earlier, the Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had won all the heart and start the program.
On the occasion Union Minister Chouhan gave great relief to the flood-affected families in Punjab. He handed over by Rs 1.6,70 lakh to the state government towards the homes damaged by 36,703. The amount was presented to the Punjab Agricultural Minister Gurmeet Singh Khameet Singh Officer. He said that the amount has been issued immediately. Rs. 40 lakhs will be given to the construction of the new home in this amount and Rs 40,000 for the construction of labor and the toilet. Chouhan clarified that the Union government was ready to help the flood-affected people of Punjab and providing all possible support.
The Central Agriculture Minister also provided Rs 74 crore to Punjab for wheat seeds and Rs 3.40 crore for Mirm crops. He said the central government would also provide assistance for the relief of damage in the gardens. The state government has been directed to accurately evaluate the damage and present the report. Chouhan said the government was constantly trying to advance the agricultural sector.

Chouhan said the Union government was standing with the farmers and all government departments would provide support at their level. He appealed to the BJP workers to ensure that those who have been destroyed and the construction work should be done properly. On the occasion the Union Agriculture Minister minister was existed of the Gurus Chaudhary, Central Railway and Food Processing Minister of Raviet Singh Bittu and Punjab Cabinet Singh Khandi.
