New rates for petrol and diesel released, find out today’s rates

On Saturday, August 21, a break was imposed in the country due to the ongoing decline in diesel prices. Oil companies have not changed the price of diesel today. Earlier, diesel prices had declined for three consecutive days while petrol prices remained unchanged for 35 days. In the last three cuts, diesel has become cheaper by about 60 paise per liter. According to a notification issued by state-owned oil company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi today is priced at Rs 101.84 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 89.27 per liter.

Of the country’s four major metro cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai), Mumbai has the highest oil prices. In Mumbai, a liter of petrol costs Rs 107.83 while diesel costs Rs 96.84. In Kolkata, petrol is priced at Rs 102.08 per liter while diesel is priced at Rs 92.32 per liter. In Chennai, petrol is priced at Rs 99.47 per liter and diesel at Rs 93.84 per liter.
