Afghanistan declared the operation officially over by midnight. The Afghan administration said the attacks had been halted at the request of Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Afghan government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that there is no threat in any part of Afghanistan and the Afghan people are fully prepared to defend their land.
According to available information, Pakistan’s two main border posts Torkham and Chaman have been closed. Apart from this, three small posts like Kharlachi, Angoor Adda and Ghulam Khan are also closed. Pakistan quoted its officials as saying that a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leader was targeted in Pakistani air strikes, although his safety or casualties were not confirmed. Afghanistan has denied the allegation that TTP fighters are attacking Pakistan from Afghan soil.
