The senior leader and his family members declared themselves innocent and said that they would be prosecuted.

A Rouse Avenue court today framed charges against Lalu Yadav and his family members under sections related to cheating and criminal conspiracy and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Others including Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav pleaded innocent; Rabri Devi said the case was “false”. At the same time, Tejashwi has also made an X post regarding this. He wrote that as long as the riotous and anti-constitutional BJP is in power and I am of this age, I will keep fighting the BJP. There is something more fun in fighting storms. The RJD leader further said that after coming to Bihar a month ago, Home Minister Amit Shah was threatening us that he would not leave us fit to contest the elections. We will fight and win. This case is related to the alleged corruption in the tender of two IRCTC hotels located in Ranchi and Puri when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister. Special judge (CBI) framed charges against former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav and other accused. He appeared physically in the court.

The court has framed charges under various sections of crimes related to cheating, conspiracy and corruption. However, all the accused have been charged with criminal conspiracy. The order was pronounced in open court and the court will upload a detailed order. The court said there were sufficient grounds to frame charges against all the 14 accused. Lalu Prasad Yadav has declared himself innocent and said that he will face the trial.
