Owaisi showed mirror to the opposition, said- look at your weakness before cursing me.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has hit out at opposition parties, accusing AIMIM of being the ‘B team of BJP’. He said that instead of introspecting on their own weaknesses, they falsely target his party. In an interview to ANI, the AIMIM chief said there is no perception among people that his party is the ‘B’ team of the BJP, but he also said that some parties in the opposition are making efforts in this direction. Taking aim at these parties, he said that if they think that “bringing Owaisi into everything will cure the disease” then they have no problem.

Owaisi said there is no such assumption… If you (opposition) think that bringing Owaisi into everything will cure the disease, then I have no problem with it… There is no such assumption. People want to create such a perception. But we have said many times, and we are saying it again today, that if Narendra Modi has become the Prime Minister of this country thrice, then it is not the fault of Indian Muslims.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is getting almost fifty percent non-Muslim votes in the elections. They are getting 37-38% votes, so what is my role in this? If you want to crown me, I will accept. I don’t mind. If you think involving Owaisi in everything will cure the disease, then I have no problem with it. Introspect and see how weak you are.

The AIMIM chief refuted allegations of links with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying his meetings with BJP ministers were only work-related. He told that once he had met Union Minister Giriraj Singh to discuss the issues related to the textile sector, especially power looms in Malegaon. He said that I have no connection with BJP… Before Operation Sindoor, I had issued a statement asking why you did not invite me to the all-party meeting? The Home Minister had called me and asked me to come. I met Giriraj Singh about Malegaon power loom. Giriraj Singh talked to us for an hour. He is a minister, shouldn’t I go to him for textile related work? …I’m politically opposed to you, but I want to get things done, and you’re in government.
