Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) youth wing secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday accused the BJP of trying to impose Sanskrit and caste-based education through the new education policy and said Tamil Nadu would oppose such moves. He further alleged that the BJP, with the support of AIADMK, is trying to take over the state and warned that the DMK will continue the fight against fascism in Tamil Nadu and defeat it.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, speaking at the centenary book launch ceremony of scholar V. Anaimuthu, said that the BJP is trying to impose Sanskrit and caste-based education through the new education policy, but Tamil Nadu will strongly oppose it. Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Taking aim at Ravi, he said that two days ago, the Governor started his election campaign. He asks against whom Tamil Nadu is fighting. For four years, Tamil Nadu has been fighting against them. We will keep fighting and win. As long as the last DMK worker is standing, the state will continue to oppose fascism. Earlier, on Wednesday he attacked the BJP, AIADMK and the Tamil Nadu Governor and indirectly described actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam as the “new slave” of the BJP in the state.

Speaking at a meeting of DMK office-bearers for Srirangam constituency at Kalaignar Arivalayam in Trichy, Udhayanidhi said, “The BJP-led central government is conspiring with the AIADMK and the new slaves to take over Tamil Nadu.” He also said that the state has been under the leadership of Governor R.N. Fighting against Ravi and will continue to do so until victory is achieved. He stressed, “No matter how many such conspiracies are hatched, DMK workers will ensure that the state remains untouched by fascist forces.”
