The controversy regarding the Asia Cup trophy is not stopping. Now it is being said that the Asia Cup trophyhas been closed at the Asian Cricket Council’s headquarters in Dubai. ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi has directed that it should not be transferred or handed over to India without his approval.
Let us tell you that after winning the Asia Cup, the Indian team had refused to accept the trophy from Naqvi. After this Naqvi took it with him and since then this trophy is in the ACC office. India had defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup final in Dubai on 28 September.

He said that, Naqvi has given clear instructions that only he will personally hand over the trophy to the Indian team or BCCI. The Asia Cup was played under the shadow of ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. Indian players did not shake hands with Pakistani players during the entire tournament. Apart from this, Naqvi also gave political statements on social media.
