Five laborers injured after under-construction road overbridge collapses near Tundla station in Uttar Pradesh

Five laborers were injured when a portion of an under-construction road overbridge collapsed near Tundla railway station in Uttar Pradesh at around 9 pm on Thursday. Shashikant Tripathi, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway Zone, said, “We received information at around 9 pm that a part of the road overbridge under construction at level crossing gate number 71 near Tundla railway station has collapsed.”

“As per information, five laborers working there were injured and were immediately admitted to the Railway Hospital and the nearest district hospital for treatment,” he said. District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police Saurabh Dixit reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.
