Sanaullah Khan, advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, has made an important claim about Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir. In an interview to Pakistan’s Sama TV, Sanaullah said that Munir will return home straight after retirement and neither the Prime Minister’s residence nor Rashtrapati Bhavan will be his destination. His comment seems to put an end to any political ambitions of Munir. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has often accused Munir of having aspirations to become Prime Minister or President. However, Sanaullah clarified that “the army chief has no personal agenda.” He further said that the two parties are not enemies. There is no problem with the PPP. Both the parties have worked together many times. While there is some animosity in the mind of one party, the PML-N does not want to answer it.
