At the same time, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief and Union Minister Chirag Paswan said on Thursday that discussions are going on within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) regarding seat sharing before the Bihar Assembly elections to be held in two phases next month. Chirag Paswan told reporters, “Discussions are going on. I have other responsibilities also. As long as I am a minister, I also have the responsibility of the ministry. I am going for it now.” LJP (RV) has called an emergency party meeting at its Patna office on Thursday to discuss the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections and organizational matters.
Amid speculation over seat sharing among the NDA parties in Bihar, LJP (RLD) MP Arun Bharti said the party’s election strategy will be decided in a meeting to be held in Patna on Thursday. Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Arun Bharti stressed the importance of this meeting ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. He said, “The party has called an important meeting regarding the elections, what will be the policies of our party, what strategies will be adopted… Whatever decision will be taken, you will be informed… Tomorrow’s meeting is very important for us.”

The NDA led by BJP and JD(U) will face the India Bloc led by RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Congress, CPI (ML) led by Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI, CPI(M) and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). Prashant Kishor’s new party Jan Suraj has also staked claim on all the 243 seats in the state. The Election Commission has announced the schedule of Bihar Assembly elections. Voting for 243 assembly seats will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, and counting of votes will take place on November 14.
