It has been two full years since the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. The war that has been going on for two consecutive years now seems to be ending. But the kind of actions and attacks being carried out by the Houthis. It seems that the Houthis do not want the war between Hamas and Israel to stop nor peace to come in Gaza. It is believed that this is because the Houthis continue to attack Israel. Due to which Israel is enraged somewhere. Four explosive-laden drones fired by the Houthis in Yemen were shot down by Israeli air defense forces within an hour on Tuesday afternoon near the Red Sea resort city of Eilat, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Sirens were sounded for the first Houthi drone in Eilat at 2:36 p.m., and again at 2:58 p.m., when two more drones reached the coast of Israel’s southernmost city. The fourth drone did not raise any alert in Eilat, as it was shot down before it could get close enough to pose a threat. The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted all four drones, the military said. There is no news of any injury or any damage. The attacks came during the Sukkot holidays and on the second anniversary of the Hamas terrorist group’s devastating October 7 attack that killed 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.

The Iran-backed militant group Houthis have repeatedly attacked Israel with ballistic missiles and drones, saying they were doing so in support of the Gaza Strip during Israel’s war against Hamas. This group has targeted Eilat several times with drones. Last month, a Houthi drone attacked the resort town, wounding more than 20 people. Earlier this week, the municipality and the IDF Home Front Command set up 10 new mobile bomb shelters in Eilat following that attack.
