This tour of Keir Starmer to India is for two days on 8th and 9th October. As soon as he reached Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar gave him a grand welcome at the airport. Prime Minister Modi will meet Starmer in Mumbai
Prime Minister Modi will hold a meeting with his British counterpart Starmer at Mumbai Raj Bhavan at 10:00 am on Thursday. This high-level discussion is expected to focus on deepening cooperation in various areas including trade, technology and climate action. Following the meeting, Prime Minister Starmer will address the press at the Raj Bhavan, briefing on the discussions and outlining future collaborative initiatives. The British leader will attend the CEO Forum starting at 1:40 pm at the Geo World Centre, where business leaders from both countries will discuss opportunities to expand the economic partnership.

British Prime Minister to attend Global Fintech Fest 2025
Immediately following the Forum, at 2:25 pm, Prime Minister Starmer will participate in the Global Fintech Fest 2025, which will also be held at the Jio World Center and will focus on innovation and digital finance collaboration. At the conclusion of his visit, the British Prime Minister will depart at 11:30 pm on October 9.

Both leaders will discuss the progress of the Vision 2035 plan
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will review the progress of the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. It is a part of the long-term “Vision 2035” plan, a roadmap drawn up along with the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in July. The objective of this scheme is to deepen key areas of cooperation between the two countries. Starmer is leading a large delegation of more than 100 business leaders, university heads and cultural figures on the visit. The focus of this group is to enhance trade, investment, technology and educational relations between India and Britain.
