Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday highlighted India’s development in the technical field, underlined India’s achievements in developing indigenous technology and emphasized the impact of initiatives like ‘Self -reliant India’ and Make in India. Addressing the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Prime Minister Modi said that India is moving forward in every field and appreciated the emergence of the country as an effective platform for innovation and progress.
The Prime Minister highlighted how Indian industry, startups and education are cooperating in the development of the country. Prime Minister Modi said that today, with government cooperation, Indian industries, startups and education are working together in many fields. Whether it is the development and expansion of indigenous technology or the creation of intellectual property through research and development, India is moving forward in every field. India is emerging as an effective platform for innovation and progress.

The Prime Minister said, “I say with full confidence that this is the best time for investment, innovation and Make in India. From manufacturing to semiconductor, from mobile technology to startup, there are immense possibilities in every field in India.” Prime Minister Modi also considered how people used to make fun of the idea of Make in India. He said that the country has responded to him and has told that almost every district has 5G connectivity.
He said that India’s success shows the strength of the attitude of self -reliant India. When I initially talked about Make in India, people used to make fun of it. He used to say how India would make technically advanced things. The country replied to him. The country which was struggling with 2G first, now has 5G in every district. Prime Minister Modi also talked about the recently launched 4G stack and said that the country has become one of the five countries with this capacity. The Prime Minister further said that such progress shows India’s self -reliance and technical freedom.
Prime Minister Modi said, “A few days ago, India launched its Made in India 4G stack. India has now joined the five countries in the world that have this ability. It is a big step towards digital self -reliance and technical freedom. Through indigenous 4G and 5G stacks, we will be able to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for all of us.

Speaking about the Telecom Act, Prime Minister Modi said, “In the last decade, India’s technical revolution has increased rapidly. To match this pace, a strong legal and modern policy basis was required. For this, we introduced the Telecom Act, which replaces the old laws that did not fulfill today’s needs.
