In the recently released photo by Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), its under-construction Sukhoi SU-75 Checkmate Fifth generation stealth fighter has created enthusiasm in global defense circles. The aircraft, displayed for the first time in Maks 2021 in the presence of President Vladimir Putin, has not yet taken its first flight. However, the new image, suggests that the field test of SU-75 may begin soon. Delay in development, but progress continues

The UAC post did not confirm the current testing phase of the aircraft, but indicated that Russia’s defense industry was moving forward despite the pressure of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. SU-75 has missed its first flight several time limits, initially promised to 2022, later converted to 2023 and 2024. Now developers hope that this jet will take off before the end of 2025.

SU-75 focus on unique tail design

In its post, UAC described the importance of tail design in aviation. The statement said, “It is responsible for the stability, control and balance of the aircraft during the flight. In the history of 120 years of aviation, several designs have been proposed in search of the best design. Obviously, this design will also continue in the next generation of fighter aircraft.
