British Prime Minister Kir Starmer will be on a visit to India from 8 to 9 October.The Ministry of External Affairs said on Saturday that during the visit, Mr. Starmer and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss “issues of regional and global importance”. The journey is taking place in the backdrop of the ongoing wars in Gaza and Ukraine.His visit is expected to further boost bilateral trade as it is taking place a few months after India and Britain signed a comprehensive economic and trade agreement (CETA).
Britain’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Online Security Minister Kanishka Narayan said on Tuesday that this week the Prime Minister Care Stmper’s visit to India will make significant progress in areas of common interests such as AI and emerging technologies. British Indian Minister Narayan said that a “extraordinary foundation” has already been laid for India-Britain cooperation in technology as well as other major areas of India before the first official visit to India.
Narayan has recently been given the charge of Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). On the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of Britain is visiting a two -day visit to India. The two leaders will address the sixth edition of ‘Global Fintech Fest’ in Mumbai and will hold talks with industry experts, policy makers and new profiles. Narayan said, “The Prime Minister’s visit to India will make significant progress in our common interests in AI and emerging technologies.”

He said, “India and Britain are giving importance on research, as well as focusing equally on adopting these techniques in a democratic manner. The journey is to deepen this shared meditation with practical cooperation. ”Bihar -born Labor Party MP created history when he was elected as the first MP of Indian origin from Wales in last year’s general election. Narayan is excited that the technology sector is one of the major focus areas of bilateral partnership and has immense possibilities of alliances.

He said, “There is an extraordinary basis for cooperation between the two countries: research partnership, intensive and personal history and constant discovery of the future. We can use these in practical AI and online safety research opportunities, adopt AI products in our companies and public services and ensure that AI and online experiences fulfill democratic values of India and Britain.
