Haryana senior IPS officer YPS. Puran Kumar died on Tuesday. He shot himself on its home (house No. 116) at Sector 11 of Chandigarh. When the incident information, SSP Kanwordeep Kaur of Chandigarh Police and several senior officers were present on the spot. The cause of their suicide is not yet known.
Y. Puran Kumar was the 2001 Batch IPS officer of Haryana cadre. On September 29, he had posted as IG in the Police Training College (PTC) in the Goldenia of Rohtak. They were on vacation from October 7, although it has not yet been confirmed.

Y. The wife of Puran Kumar, Amneet P. Kumar is an IAS officer. He had gone to Japan with Chief Minister Nii Bani and other officials on October 5. He will return to India tomorrow evening. Chandigarh police is investigating why Adgp made suicide. Police officials arrived at the spot said the shooting was reported by 1.30 am. The team received dead body there. The investigation continues. Something can be said after the early investigation.
