20 people were killed in a blast in the firecracker factory at around 8 am on Tuesday, April 1. Of these, 8 people were from Harda’s family of Harda while 10 were from Sandalpur in Dewas district. The last rites of 18 bodies were performed at Nemawar Ghat in Dewas on Thursday. Two bodies could not be identified.

Harda Tehsildar Virendra Uike said, DNA test was done by taking a sample of both daughters of Lakshmi missing from the organs found on the spot and Santosh Nayak’s father Santosh Nayak. Due to which both have been identified. Different organs of the body were found, they were gathered and brought to Nemawar Ghat, where both bodies were cremated.

ADM Satish Rai, SDM Kumar Shanu and other administration officials were present at the funeral.
