In Kairana police station area of Shamli district, police have recovered the bodies of a person and his daughter from the Yamuna river, while the search for his other three children is going on. Police gave this information on Sunday।
According to police, the bodies of Salman (38) and his 12 -year -old daughter Mehak were recovered during a search in the Yamuna river in Kairana area of Shamli district. Police are searching for Salman’s other three children with the help of divers. He told that Salman had jumped into the river along with four of his children on Saturday after his wife allegedly escaped with his lover.
Police Officer (CO) Shyam Singh told reporters that during the investigation, police divers recovered the bodies of Salman and Mahek, 12 km from the spot. He said that the remaining three children are being investigated.
Both bodies have been sent for postmortem. Earlier, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Kumar Singh had told that Salman made a video and sent his sister before jumping into Yamuna. In the video, he alleged that his wife Khushanuma and her lover would be responsible for her move.
