US rapper scene Didi Comombs was sentenced to four years and two months in jail on Friday for promoting sexual passion. Comombs has already serving a year of jail for a year, so he will now have to spend three more years in jail.
The prosecutors had requested the conviction of more than 11 years, while his lawyer requested the immediate release of his client, saying that he had realized his mistake in the time spent behind the bars.
Comombs were found guilty in July of taking their female friends and male sex workers to many places across the country and promoting drug abuse and sexual adultery. However, he was acquitted of allegations of sexual trafficking and gang running under which he could be sentenced to life imprisonment.
US District Judge Arun Subramanian, while sentencing, asked, “Why did it take so much time?” Because you had the power and resources to continue it and because you were not caught. ”
Subramanian also imposed a maximum of US $ 500,000 fine on Combes and praised the accused who testified in the trial. The judge said, “He raised the voice of countless people who suffered abuse.” You gave them voice. You stood in front of strength. ”
When the combs present in the court room were being sentenced, he was watching in front and later he looked calm and depressed. He told his family just before exiting the court room, “Sorry, forgive me.” The lawyers of the Comombs said that they would appeal against the punishment.
