As a major step towards upgrading India’s air defense system under the Mission Sudarshan Chakra, the army has issued a tender for the purchase of six AK-630 30mm air defense guns from a government company, which aims to strengthen the safety of civilian areas and religious places near the Pakistan border. This acquisition is being seen as an important step in India’s long -term plan to make this acquisition multi -level security shield. It is based on the lesson learned from the tender operation vermilion, during which the Pakistani army had directly attacked citizens and religious buildings in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

Mission Sudarshan Chakra
The Mission Sudarshan Chakra, India plans to create a broad, multi -level, indigenous security shield by 2035, in which major establishments will be saved from various enemy attacks by integrating monitoring, cyber security and air defense systems. The mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day 2025 is aimed at providing both a defensive barrier and a possible aggressive ability to increase self -reliance in defense technology.
Army chief warns Pakistan
Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi gave a strong warning to Pakistan against terrorist activities in India and said that India would show no restraint in Operation Sindoor 2.0 and this military action would force Pakistan to reconsider whether it wants a place in history and geography.

AK-630 air defense cannon
He said AK-630 will be used to thwart the threat from URAM (unmanned air-vehicle, rocket, artillery and mortar) and will be used to protect the major populated centers and faith centers located near the International Border and Line of Control. The firepower of these cannons will be up to 4 kilometers and their cyclic rate will be up to 3,000 rounds per minute. Their detection is done through the electro-optical fire control system working in all seasons.
