A case of alleged negligence has come to light in a hospital in Nangloi in Delhi, where a family, considering the body of their relative, cremated another body. Police sources gave this information on Friday. According to a source, two bodies were brought to the hospital mortuary on Thursday.
The source said, “Pankaj Kumar, a resident of Prem Nagar, died due to serious injuries after falling from the roof. His body was kept in the mortuary for post -mortem. At the same time, the body of Bharat Bhushan from Nangloi was also brought for post -mortem. ”
It is alleged that Bharat Bhushan’s family members accidentally identified Pankaj Kumar’s body as his relative. After the post -mortem, he completed the formalities, took the dead bodies and performed the last rites.
The disturbance came to light when Pankaj Kumar’s family reached the hospital to take his body. Since there was only one body in the mortuary at that time, he objected, because he was not his relative.
Pankaj Kumar’s family accused the hospital of serious negligence in the maintenance of the bodies and claimed that the appropriate identity process was not ensured. The source said that further legal action will be taken after the investigation is completed.
