The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an officer of the Integrated Economic Advisor (IFA) of the Defense Accounts Country for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 3.5 lakh to approve the supply order to install CCTV at the Air Force Center. Officials gave this information on Friday.
The owner of the CCTV company contacted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and claimed that the Integrated Financial Advisor (IFA), Defense Accounts (CGDA), Gandhinagar (Gujarat) Auditor/Personnel Ashok Kumar Jadav and a Havildar of the Air Force have asked for a total of four lakh rupees, i.e. about 2 percent bribes to approve a total contract order of Rs 2.5 crore.
Pune officials said that the CBI verified, but Havildar did not respond to the phone. He said that his role in the recording presented by the businessman was clear. He said that the CBI on Monday arrested Jadhav by laying a trap of Rs 3.5 lakh.
The CBI spokesperson said in a statement, “The accused was arrested and produced before the Special Judge of Pune after taking transit remand from the special judge of Ahmedabad and has been sent to police custody by October 4, 2025.
