Airport officials said that Munich Airport had to temporarily shut down after frequent incidents of drones in the area on Thursday night. The airport operators said that Germany air traffic control banned flights at the airport after 10 pm on Thursday night and then stopped them completely. Giving more information, officials said that 17 flights could not fly, which affected around 3,000 passengers, while 15 upcoming flights were sent to three other airports in Germany and an airport in Vienna, Austria. The airport said in a statement that when a drone appears, the safety of air travelers is the top priority. The incident occurred after similar incidents occurred last week after drones were seen at Denmark and Norway airports, where the airports were temporarily closed.

It is worth noting that the incident is a new link in the series of incidents of mysterious drones being seen at airports and other important infrastructure sites in Europe. Although it is not immediately clear who is behind these flyovers, European authorities have expressed concern that Russia may follow them. But Russian authorities have rejected claims of being involved in the recent drone incidents in Denmark.
