I love what Owaisi said on Muhammad controversy, there was a ruckus

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the “I Love Mohammed” controversy. The Hyderabad MP said that it is easy for people to say “I love Modi”, but it has become difficult to say “I Love Mohammed” in India. His remarks have come amid growing tension in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where the protests over “I Love Mohammed” posters became violent last week. Internet services were discontinued in four districts of Bareilly division and heavy police force was deployed during the Dussehra festival and prayer prayers.

Speaking at a public meeting in Hyderabad, Owaisi questioned the direction of the country. He said, “Anyone can say ‘I love Modi’ in this country, but not ‘I love Mohammad’. Where are you taking this country? If someone says ‘I love Modi’, the media also becomes happy. He further said that if someone says ‘I Love Mohammed’, there is objection to that. If I am a Muslim, I am because of Muhammad.

Addressing concerns over law and order, Owaisi questioned the role of the government that I want to ask the government why they are making so many laws and what is happening? In Assam, 3000 Muslims were rendered homeless, claiming that the construction was on government land. He urged people to be patient and work within the legal purview, he said that we should not be troubled by the situation. We have to deal with patience. We should do everything within the purview of law. Do not take the law in your hand. When you work within the purview of the law, you will realize that the law is just a spider web and nothing.
