Two laborers died and one was injured due to soil collapse at an under -construction site in Bengaluru. Raza Uddin Ansari and Lal Madan of Jharkhand were buried in the rubble while working on the foundation of the pillar in Siddharth Colony of Madiwala. The police have registered a case and started a thorough investigation into the possible omission in the construction site security.

According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday evening in Siddharth Colony of Madiwala when the workers were working on the foundation of a pillar. Suddenly, three of them were trapped in the debris due to the soil sinking. Police said Raza Uddin Ansari (33) and Lal Madan (32) were killed while Saifullah (28) was injured.Saifullah continues to be treated.

Case of death of laborers: Investigation of negligence begins
Police-Deputy Commissioner (South-East) Sarah Fatima said, “We received information in the Madiwala police station area at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday evening that some workers working at a construction site were buried under the debris and the soil has been sunk. When we reached the spot, we saw that three people were trapped, who were immediately rushed to the hospital.

He said that Saifulla is out of danger while the other two died. The Deputy Commissioner said, all the workers were residents of Jharkhand and came to work at this construction site about three months ago. The case has been registered and we will investigate how this incident happened and who is responsible for it.
