Under this decision, any property, car, funds etc. of the Bishnoi gang in Canada can be seized. If a person directly or indirectly helps this gang, he will also be considered a crime.

With the inclusion of the Bishnoi gang in this list, now the number of groups listed under the Criminal Code in Canada has increased to 88. According to an official statement, the federal government has got the power to stop or confiscate property, vehicle and money by inclusion in the terrorist list. At the same time, Canadian law enforcement has received additional reasons to prosecute terrorism in relation to funding and recruitment. For any Canadian citizen living in Canada or abroad, it is a crime to deliberately transact property-owned or controlled property of a terrorist group. The Bishnoi gang led by Lawrence Bishnoi is an international criminal organization that is mainly active in India.

The statement said that he has a presence in Canada and is active in areas where the migrant communities are in large numbers. The Canada Police has linked some forced recovery cases to this gang. The group’s kingpin is in India’s jail. The statement said, the Bishnoi gang is involved in murder, firing and arson cases and spreads terror through extortion and threats. They create an atmosphere of insecurity between the members of the migrant community, businesses and cultural personalities. Listing the Bishnoi gang said the statement will help Canadian safety, intelligence and law enforcement agencies to deal with their crimes and protect communities. Conservative party leader Pierre Polyvere last month requested the federal government to declare the Bishnoi gang as a terrorist organization. In June, the British Columbia’s premiere David AB requested the federal government to declare the gang as a terrorist organization. Earlier, Alberta’s premiere Daniel Smith had also made such a request.
