Why Jagannath Temple has been pressing in sand for centuries
The temple was built by King Indra Dev and his wife Rani Gundaja of Utkal region with great hard work for Lord Neel Madhav. Hunuman ji had helped him in it. Dev Vishwakarma came as an old craftsman and deployed statues of conditional Lord Jagannath. Now there was a question of prestige of the temple and Dev idols. Who will be eligible for this work. It started to be considered. Then Devarshi Narada appeared there. King Indra Dev said that you are the most beloved devotee of Narayan there, so you should have the life of his divine form. Narada said that when the father is present, how can the son be the best. The life of this Deity should be presented by Brahma ji. You should invite them by walking with me, they will definitely come. After hearing this, King Brahma agreed to go to the world. Rani Gundaja said that until you come back, I will meditate in the tomb through Pranayama. King Brahma reached Lok and urged Brahma Ji. Brahma Dev agreed to the king and he reached the field with him. By the time he returned to earth, many centuries had passed on earth. During this time the temple was also buried under the sand with layers of time. One day a storm came and due to this the peak of the temple came out of the sand. Meanwhile, Rajda Indradev came to earth with Brahmadev. The queen also realized her husband’s return and came out of the tomb. Then Brahma Dev performed a yajna and made the life of Lord Jagannath to the queen and the king. With Pran Pratishtha, Lord Jagannath appeared with his sister Subhadra and brother Balabhadra and gave many boons to the king. Turning to the queen, he said that there will be a Gundaja temple in the place where you did penance. All three of us siblings will come to you and the world will know it as a chariot journey. Therefore, every year the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is taken out on the second date of Ashadh Shukta Paksha.
Indira Gandhi did not get entry while PM

That is, if the Prime Minister of India is not a Hindu, then he cannot enter this temple. According to the priests of the Jagannath temple, Indira Gandhi is not a Hindu but a Parsi. Therefore in 1984 he was not allowed to enter this temple. According to the managers of the temple, Indira Gandhi was married to a Parsi Feroz Jahangir Gandhi. Therefore, she was not technically Hindu after marriage. For this reason, he was not allowed to enter the Jagannath temple.

20 times looted by foreign attackers
The Jagannath temple was robbed 20 times by foreign attackers. Especially Muslim Sultans and emperors carried out repeated attacks on Odisha to destroy the idols of the Jagannath temple. But these attackers could not destroy the idols of Lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Balabhadra, the three major idols of the Jagannath temple. Because the priests of the temple repeatedly hid these idols. Once the idols were secretly taken out of Odisha and hidden in Hyderabad. Due to the attacker, God has to leave his temple, may not believe in today’s India. Those who study the history associated with the temple claim that Lord Jagannath had to stay away from the temple for 144 years due to the attacks.
