The Indian team has returned home after defeating Pakistan in the Asia Cup final. All the brave people are getting a grand welcome in their respective cities. Tilak Verma reached Hyderabad where he met the media.
During this, he said that he is proud to perform well for the team and the country. Tilak further said that emotions were very high during the match. Pakistan sledged fiercely during the match but the Indian players retained restraint.
Tilak Verma also enjoyed Haris Rauf during this period. Tilak said that Haris Rauf may be a trusted bowler but I am also the best batsman. He further said that after Shivam Dubey was dismissed, I was confident that I would win the match and I did the same.
Let me tell you that with the help of Tilak’s unbeaten 69, India won by five wickets in the final match played in Dubai on Sunday. Tilak said after arriving here last night from Dubai that, there was some pressure and tension in the beginning. But I put my country at the top and I wanted to win for the country. I knew that if I kneel in front of pressure, I will disappoint myself 140 crore people of the country.
At the same time, Tilak also admitted that Pakistani players sparked fiercely in the match but they preferred to remain silent. He said that we had lost three wickets early and the atmosphere was very hot. I came to bat quickly but I did not say anything to anyone nor disappointed the team and the country by playing any bad shot.
