The state’s agricultural market premises will be modernized. With their modernization, farmers will now start getting many facilities here. In the first phase, 9 agricultural market premises will be modernized in the year 2025-26 at a cost of Rs 5,40,61,47,600. Those who are modernized include the market premises of Sasaram, Begusarai, Katihar, Farbisganj, Jehanabad, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Chapra, Bihta. This will help farmers to sell produce and strengthen the rural economy. Due to the construction of modern market premises at these places, the facilities provided to farmers will also be expanded.

Panchayat agricultural offices have opened in all 8152 panchayats
The Agriculture Department of Bihar government has spread its branches to the panchayats to increase the income of farmers. For this purpose, panchayat agricultural offices have been opened in all 8152 panchayats of the state. Now farmers are able to take advantage of agricultural schemes easily, while the Agriculture Department is also able to assess the crops being produced and implement the schemes properly. Along with these panchayat agricultural offices, e -Kisan Bhawan in 479 blocks, District Krishi Bhawan in 27 districts and 04 divisional joint agricultural building have been constructed. Also, Bameti Bhawan was constructed at the state level at a cost of Rs 16.35 crore and Krishi Bhawan, Bihar at Mithapur (Patna) at a cost of Rs 105.65 crore.
Government is also providing agricultural equipment to farmers
To promote agricultural mechanization in Bihar, the government is constantly making efforts through agricultural road map. To increase agricultural production, farmers are being given financial assistance on the purchase of various types of agricultural implements. In this series, more than 8 lakh agricultural implements have been provided to the farmers on grants. Small and medium farmers are also getting the benefit of modern instruments by this move of the state government. With this government initiative, agriculture is now becoming beneficial in the state. Only 48,956 agricultural machinery was made available to farmers before the agricultural road map.

So far, 28,23,364 agricultural machinery has been provided to the farmers, as a result of which the form power availability in the state was less than 1.00 kW per hectare in the year 2004-05, which increased to 3.56 kW per hectare in the year 2022-23.
