On the other hand, in the next ICC meeting in November, the BCCI will have ‘strong protest’ against Mohsin Naqvi, the head of the Asian Cricket Council, who did not give the trophy to the champion team after the Indian team refuses to take the Asia Cup trophy in Dubai. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia justified the team’s refusal and said that the Indian team cannot take a trophy from anyone who is ‘waging war against the country’. India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final. Naqvi is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and is also the Home Minister of her country.

Apart from this, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, after winning the title of Asia Cup 2025, announced that he would donate his entire match fee of the tournament to the Indian Armed Forces.
