The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi, after disappearing with the Asia Cup 2025 Trophy, is at the center of a major controversy at this time. Amidst this growing discussion and noise, Naqvi reacted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Operation Sindoor on the playground”. After India’s exciting five -wicket win at the Dubai International Stadium, Prime Minister Modi congratulated the entire team for their performance in the eight teams tournaments, in which the team retained its undetermined order.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter, “Operationsindoor on the playground. The result – India wins! Congratulations to our cricketers.” Naqvi wrote in her response, “If the war was a measure of your pride, then Pakistan has your derogatory necklace at the hands of Pakistan. No cricket match can change the truth. Drawing the war in sports exposes your frustration and insults the spirit of the game.”
Earlier this year, 26 people lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. After this, India retaliated and started Operation Sindoor, in which terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) were targeted. Naqvi was clearly angry with Prime Minister Modi’s tweet as he mentioned the war. Pakistan’s Home Minister, who himself has been guilty of combining politics with cricket in the Asia Cup 2025, accused the Indian camp of playing with “sportsmanship”.
