Speaking on the matter, Venugopal said on Monday that this is an open threat. I do not know why Kerala Police is not taking any action. That is why we have written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah. CRPF is giving a letter to Rahul Gandhi on security lapse and he himself is leaking information. Here, there is a clear threat from the BJP spokesperson. We are all thinking that this is part of a big conspiracy. I have not received any response from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Seeking reply from the BJP, he said, “We would like to know from the BJP whether this is his official stance; otherwise, he should take action against the spokes. The BJP is silent on the issue.”Earlier, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal on Sunday wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding action against a BJP leader from Kerala, who had allegedly threatened to kill Rahul Gandhi during a television debate.

In a letter to Shah, the Congress leader said that “failure” in taking quick action against “BJP spokesperson” Printu Mahadev would be considered “involvement and generalization in violence” against the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and “serious violation of the oath” as Union Home Minister. According to Venugopal’s letter, in the television debate of News18 Kerala, BJP spokesperson allegedly announced that ‘Rahul Gandhi would be shot in the chest’.
