BJP’s stance on Rahul Gandhi’s silence: ‘Is waiting for permission from Pakistan?’

Amit Malviya, the national in -charge of the BJP’s Information and Technology Cell, has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for not congratulating the Indian cricket team for victory on Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Malaviya said that the Congress has refrained from making a statement on Team India’s victory, as it had done the Indian Army after targeting Pakistan through Operation Sindoor. Malaviya wrote on X (first Twitter), “It seems that India’s spectacular victory over Pakistan in the Asia Cup finals has made Rahul Gandhi and the entire Congress unconscious. Just as after Operation Sindoor, when they could not prepare themselves to congratulate the Indian Army for its strong attacks.”

Referring to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi, Amit Malviya wrote, “It seems that now he is waiting for permission from Mohsin Naqvi and his other masters in Pakistan before joining the success of the Indian cricket team. Accusing the Congress of supporting India of rival and neighboring Pakistan, Malaviya wrote on X, “Put it on one side – Congress did not get a single post on social media in which our national team has been congratulated for defeating Pakistan three times in the tournament and winning the Asia Cup. Once again, Pakistan, Rahul Gandhi and Congress find themselves in the same side.”

In Dubai on Sunday, India won the Asia Cup final against Pakistan, after which there was a fierce drama in the after the match. The Indian team refused to take the trophy from Pakistan’s Naqvi, while the Pakistani captain termed India’s move as an disrespect of the game. Referring to India’s refusal to take the Asia Cup Trophy from PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi, Malaviya said that Naqvi had insisted on giving the trophy. Malaviya said in a post on X, “India did not accept the Asia Cup and medals because the Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi, who is the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Home Minister of Pakistan, insisted on giving them.”
