External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday targeted Pakistan and said that India has been facing the challenge of terrorism since independence, while its neighboring country has been the ‘center of global terrorism’.
Addressing the general debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Jaishankar said that Pakistan’s most recent example of cross -border barbarity is Pahalgam attack.
Jaishankar started his address with “Namaskar from the people of India” while addressing leaders from all over the world from the platform of the United Nations General Assembly. He clearly pointed to Pakistan and said that this one country has been considered the reason for major international terrorist attacks for decades.
He said amid the applause of the people present in the United Nations General Assembly Hall, “India has been facing the challenge of terrorism since independence because its neighboring country has been the center of global terrorism.”
The Foreign Minister said that Pakistani citizens were also included in the United Nations’ list of terrorists. He said, “The latest example of cross -border barbarity of the neighboring country is killing innocent tourists in Pahalgam in April this year.”
Jaishankar said, “India exercised its right to protect its people against terrorism and put terrorism masters and criminals in the dock of justice.”
India warned that those who support the countries sponsoring terrorism will know that it will bite them. India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ in May in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people died in the Pahalgam terror attack.
