Bihar is increasing towards progress with technology: Minister Krishna Kumar Mantu

Information Technical Minister Krishna Kumar Mantu said that Bihar can be made an IT hub of eastern India only by attracting maximum investment. He said that all those provisions have been made in Bihar IT Policy-2024, so that investors can be attracted and Bihar should be developed as an IT hub. Information and Provisional Minister Krishna Kumar Mantu was visiting the newly constructed software technology park of India (STPI) unit in Pataliputra Colony on Saturday and taking stock of the facilities being provided by IT companies here. On this occasion, a total of half a dozen startups of IT, ITES and ESDM region performed their works and innovation etc.

This STPI building is spread over a total of one lakh square feet and has a total of 103 plug and play. Addressing reporters after inspecting the building, the IT minister said that Bihar technology is growing towards progress. Under the IT Policy-2024 of the Government of Bihar, investors are already being given many facilities for capital investment and employment generation. Under Unone said that under this policy, the Bihar government is providing many benefits to investors like capital investment subsidy, interest subsidy, net state GST reimbursement. Under capital investment subsidy, 30 percent of total capital investment (up to maximum of Rs 30 crore) or ten annual interest grant (50 percent of project cost or up to maximum of Rs 40 crore) under interest subsidy is being given for five years. While 50 percent subsidy is payable for five years on lease rental amount.

Minister Krishna Mantu said that 25 percent of the electricity bill is being given annual reimbursement for five years. Also, under employment generation subsidy, a maximum amount of 100 percent amount of employer contribution for ESI and Employees Provident Fund, which is a maximum of five thousand rupees per month, is being given for five years. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Special Secretary, Information Technology Department, Shyam Bihari Singh, Director General of Beltran, STPI, Additional Director of Patna, Rajiv Kumar and C-DAC Director Abhinav Dixit were present on the occasion.
