Wearing a lion skin does not make jackal lion: Eknath Shinde targeted Pakistani Prime Minister

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday expressed strong objection to the remarks made by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday, saying that the Pakistani leader should remain within its limits. Talking to ANI, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that he should stay within his limits. Wearing a lion skin does not make a jackal lion. Shinde’s statement came in response to Shahbaz Sharif’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, where the Pakistani Prime Minister alleged that India was trying to take political advantage after the April 22 terrorist attack and at the same time accused India of attacking innocent citizens.

Shahbaz Sharif said that in May this year, my country faced an attack from the eastern front without provocation. The enemy came wrapped in the ego, and we insulted them and sent them back. India tried to take political advantage from a human tragedy by rejecting my honest proposal of independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident. Instead, he attacked our cities and targeted our innocent citizens. When our regional integrity and national security were violated, our response was according to the right to self -defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

Sharif once again made false claims about India, and claimed that Pakistan killed Indian fighter jets, as it had already said. Sharif claimed that the Pakistani army responded in a “amazing professional” manner, thwarting the attack and killed seven Indian aircraft, “mixed into junk”. However, the Prime Minister of Pakistan failed to accept that India’s response was a well -planned military operation targeting the terrorist structure. India started Operation Sindoor on 7 May in response to the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians lost their lives. Nine terrorist launchpads were targeted in this campaign, especially in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK).
