Team expressed happiness over Amar Singh Chamkila being nominated for International Amy
Film director Imtiaz Ali and actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh expressed happiness over his film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ for two international Amy, calling it the honor of Punjab and its actors. The story based on the life of Punjabi musician late Amar Singh Chamkila was aired on Netflix and has been nominated in the category of TV Film /Mini-Web Series, while Dosanjh has been nominated as the best actor category. The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced both nominations in New York on Thursday night.
Amar Singh Chamkila a different type of film
Director Ali said in a statement, “Due to the fragrance of the land of Punjab, ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ is a different kind of film.” Ali said, “The struggle brings out the art, this fact has been revealed through the life of Amar Singh Chamkila in this film. We are all very happy that we can reveal the story of such a unique person. ”The film has been nominated for the 53rd International Amy Awards ceremony to be held on 24 November in New York City.

Dosanjh has received widespread praise for the role of bright. Chamkila was shot dead in 1988 along with his wife Amarjot. At that time he was 27 years old. Dosanjh said that this honor is a tribute to the late musician. Dosanjh (41) said, “I feel really proud that an artist from Punjab is being recognized and appreciated globally on a prestigious platform like international Amy.
