A decision has now been taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board on the complaint of Suryakumar Yadav. After the first match against Pakistan, the statement made by Surya in the presentation ceremony was targeted by the Pak Board. After which a complaint was filed.
At the same time, Surya appeared before the match referee Richardson. He was accompanied by BCCI COO Hemang Amen and Operation Manager Sameer Mullapurkar. Suryakumar Yadav went in front of the match referee and said that his statement was not inspired by politics.
According to reports, Richardson advised Surya to avoid state statements that can be considered politically sensitive. Under the Code of Conduct of the ICC, it was considered a violation of Level 1, for which a fine of up to 15 percent of the warning or match fees can usually be fined. However, Surya has been released only by warning in this case.
Apart from this, after the end of Surya’s case, it is now the turn of Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf. The verdict will come out after the hearing of both. If found guilty, hard action can be taken. The BCCI complained of both Pakistanis.
