Playback singer Shilpa Rao was awarded the 71st National Film Award on Tuesday. The award was presented to him by President of India Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. He was honored for his work in the song ‘Chaleya’ from the film ‘Jawa’ starring Shah Rukh Khan. Reacting to her victory, the singer said in a statement shared by her team, “This victory is not mine. The national award is of all those who stood with me, and Jamshedpur, my hometown who gave me shape and still is my base.”

Shilpa Rao, who received the National Award for Best Women’s playback singer, has said that success is not only done by doing some work but every day has to work hard every day. She came here to attend the event organized by a media institute in her hometown Jamshedpur on her success. The singer has been awarded the National Film Award for Best Women’s Playback Singer for singing in 2023 Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan.
‘You have to work hard every day’
He said that you do not get success with just one or two songs. You have to work hard every day. Shilpa thanked her family, school, friends as well as the media for supporting her and said that this helped to fulfill her dream of becoming a singer. He said that no song is successful due to controversy, but it requires three things, very good preparation, good lyrics and singing it correctly.

Shilpa also praised the team that made the song Chale. He said composer Vishal Shekhar, director Siddharth Anand, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Yash Raj Films have all done excellent work. I am happy that the song touched the hearts of the people. Regarding the use of artificial merit in music, Shilpa said that she does not look at technology negatively.

He said that technology, including AI, can prove to be helpful in streamlining labor and streamlining construction. But (artist producing music with the help of technology) removing people is a different subject of discussion. Asked if she would inspire local talents, she said, I cannot tell how to become a successful singer or how to go to the film but can help a little to become a good singer. He said that I sing only the songs that suit my voice.
