Any house in Punjab is the air conditioner (AC), or 2.5 acres of land, will not be eligible for free rations. The state government has improved the Punjab Food Security Rules 2016 and issued responsibilities guidelines.
This allows 10.28 lakh beneficiaries to lose their free rations. The Union government had released a list of all the beneficiaries and had recommended the state government to out of this facility.
Now the state government has decided to edit food security rules. Some new provisions have been added. In addition, all income donors, all regulated items and services will be kept out of the list of beneficiaries and any family that owned by the government.
In addition, the family of the Center, Raj, Cenar Territories, or a Family of all employees of its board or the plot or more than 750 squads or more in the state, will also be held out of this facility.

The previous rules was not given details of these provisions. Therefore, the government has decided to modify these rules. Central Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister, Prahlad Joshi had previously released the data to the highest-income beneficiaries. He included 944,721 beneficiaries and 24,097 beneficiaries who have a 944,721 beneficiaries.
