No legitimity of vote theft government, countdown will start from Bihar: Congress

The Congress intensified its campaign for the Bihar assembly elections, on Wednesday, a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on various issues including alleged vote theft, economy, reservation and said that the assembly elections in Bihar after a few weeks will begin the end of the corrupt rule of the Modi government.

In the meeting of the extended Working Committee of the party, the country’s main opposition party also put the Modi government in the dock on foreign policy and claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Huglomasi (diplomacy of hug) has diplmed India diplomatically.

Two resolutions were passed in a meeting that lasted for more than four hours at Sadakat Ashram, the headquarters of Bihar Pradesh Committee, one is related to political and the other is related to Bihar. For the first time in the history of independent India, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) has met in Bihar. There is a possibility of assembly elections in Bihar in November this year.

The meeting chaired by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was attended by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh and many other leaders. She and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi could not attend the meeting due to the unwell of the Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi.

Sources say that Shashi Tharoor, a member of the Working Committee, could not attend the meeting due to being unwell. In his address in the meeting, Congress President Kharge claimed that the BJP has mentally retired Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and has now started to consider him a burden.

Kharge, referring to the latest statements of US President Donald Trump, took a sarcasm at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the Prime Minister whom those who are “my friends” beaten up, the same friends are putting India in many crisis today. He said, the 2025 assembly elections will prove to be a milestone not only for Bihar but for the whole country. It is from here that the Modi government’s corrupt rule will be the beginning and the beginning of the end.

According to sources, Rahul Gandhi targeted Prime Minister Modi in the backdrop of the US President Trump’s tariff and his steps related to the H1B visa and said that foreign policy should not be determined by private friendship.

According to sources, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned the subject of the alleged vote theft and said that he would further speak to the public with the facts. He praised the Bihar unit and allies of the Congress for the success of the Voter Adhikar Yatra.

Sources say that during the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said that there will be no compromise with the self -esteem of Congress workers. He made this comment at a time when talks are going on between the constituent parties of the Grand Alliance in Bihar. Senior leaders involved in the meeting of the Working Committee did not give any clear answer to the question related to declaring the name of Tejashwi Yadav for the post of Chief Minister on behalf of the Grand Alliance in Bihar.

However, Congress leader Pawan Kheda said, “When the sun is shining in the sky, its announcement is not required.” Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot said that all decisions will be held at the right time. In the meeting of the Working Committee, a detailed discussion was held about the alleged vote theft and special intensive revision (SIR).

Venugopal said that a signature campaign has been launched against votes theft and five crore signature will be handed over to the Election Commission next month. The proposal passed in the meeting alleged that the SIR is a plan of BJP’s toolkit to rigged the voter list and hold power.

The proposal related to Bihar states that the conspiracy of special intensive revision of the voter list is the biggest threat to our democracy today. It is clearly visible in Bihar that this process has been planned in a planned manner to deprive the marginalized communities like Dalits, backward, tribals and minorities of their franchise.

The Congress said that there is no moral or political validity of the government based on the voter lists made from the stolen mandate and rigging. Referring to the Voter Adhikar Yatra, the Working Committee said, “This yatra reached every village and every street of Bihar with a clear message that until the vote of every citizen is safe, his rights, his future and democracy cannot be safe.”

The Working Committee passed a resolution keeping the Bihar election in the centerpiece, claiming that after the unholy alliance of the Janata Dal (United) and the BJP, corruption and crime have emerged as the real engine of the so -called “double engine government”.

The Working Committee alleged that the economic destruction of the Modi government has pushed millions of Indian citizens into the trough of disappointment, while it is trying to create a false image of the economy. In the proposal passed in the party’s extended Working Committee meeting, it was also claimed that the government has prevented their GST compensation by behaving steply towards non-Rajg-ruled states.

The Working Committee said that embarrassing efforts have been made to bring the RSS into the mainstream at the top level of the government, which has constantly proved the lack of loyalty to the Constitution of India.

Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also claimed after the meeting that the working committee meeting was held in Hyderabad two months before the Telangana assembly elections and the Congress government was formed there, similarly now after the meeting of Patna, a grand alliance government will be formed in Bihar. The meeting of the Working Committee also expressed grief over the recent natural disasters and the demise of singer Zubin Garg.
