Importing decisions taken in Punjab Cabinet in case of GST cases

Many major decisions were taken at the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. The Cabinet also decided to review the joint land under the rural development and Panchayat Department and collect a penalty on illegal occupations and collect the revenue. Half of income will go to the panchayat and the remaining half to the Municipal Corporation.

The price of the government is charged by the government occupied by the official Khal and Pugdands in Punjab. An old skin (water tanks) and pavements will be regulated. For the Khali (water tanks) that have been sold for commercial buildings, shops or other construction, four-fold will be charged. This amount will be fixed by the Deputy Commissioner.

Providing relief to 1,688 malers involved in civil supplies, the Cabinet has introduced an OTS scheme for payment of arrears. Interest and penalties on the original amount will be forgiven. By 15 per cent, the people of the gban will be able to pay the amount in installments.

An OTS scheme has been introduced for matters relating to the arrears of GST. About 2,039 cases will be waived tax and fine in about 2,039 cases under the Punjab Infrastructure Development Act and other Acts. This scheme will benefit about 20,000 traders. This scheme will continue to apply from December 31.

The enhancements in the business rights Act has given an important relief to the industry. Green and Orange category industries and real estate projects will be allowed within 5 to 18 days. The Cabinet has decided to set up a special court in Mohali for the rapid court for rapidly, where an additional session will be deployed.

The Cabinet also approved GST Slabs and Compensation on the basis of the recommendations of the Central Government. The Chief Minister directed the authorities to expedite the farmers and influences to continue compensation.
