After divorce, wife asked for 5 crore and the judge of Supreme Court, gave strict warning

The Supreme Court on Thursday gave a strict warning during the hearing of a marriage breakdown case, when the wife demanded Rs 5 crore to break one year old marriage. The bench directed both the parties to return to the Supreme Court arbitration center for further agreement negotiations and warned that the court could issue a “very rigid order” if such demands continue. The bench noted that the marriage was barely a year and expressed concern over the wife’s high economic demand. Justice Pardiwala told the husband’s lawyer, “You are making a mistake by calling him back. You will not be able to keep him with you. The dreams are very big. If you call him back, you will not be able to keep him back.”

The court termed the demand of Rs 5 crore inappropriate and said that such a stance could invite adverse orders. Justice Pardiwala said that we direct the two sides to return to the Supreme Court Mediator Center for the agreement. We have been told that the wife has demanded Rs 5 crore for the marriage separation. The marital life between the two sides is about one year. Justice Pardiwala further said that if the wife’s attitude remains the same, then we may have to give some orders that she does not like. Isn’t it? We hope that the wife will make a reasonable demand and end the trial.
