Mohammad Islamic, head of Iran’s nuclear power organization, has reached Moscow, Iranian government media said on Monday. The United Nations is considering whether it should be banned again on Tehran’s nuclear program. The 15 -member United Nations Security Council rejected the draft proposal to permanently lifted the ban on Tehran. The move was supported by Russia and China and opposed to UK, France and Germany’s efforts to re -implement the United Nations sanctions.

European country Tehran is accused of not following the agreement with world powers in 2015 that aims to prevent him from developing nuclear weapons. Iran denies any such intention and Russia says it supports Tehran’s right to peaceful nuclear power. Iran’s Vice President, Isrami, told the Iranian government media that bilateral cooperation agreements would be signed during their visit to Russia, including a plan to build eight nuclear power plants, as Tehran aims to reach 20 GW atomic power capacity by 2040.

Eslami said that the contract has been negotiated and this week we will take operational steps with the signing of the agreement. Iran, which struggles with power shortage during high demand months, has only one current nuclear power plant in the southern city of Bushahr, built by Russia and has a capacity of about 1 GW.
