The United Kingdom, Canada and Australia have announced a formal recognition to Palestine as an independent country. The move is considered a major effort towards keeping two nation solutions alive internationally. But this decision may stretch the relationship between Israel and America. A few days before the United Nations General Assembly meeting, Britain, Australia and Canada have given Palestine official recognition as a country. It was announced by the British PM Keer Stmper. He said that this decision is a step towards Palestine and Israeli people towards the hope of peace and to alive two state solutions.

However, the stormer has also said that it should not be seen as an award for Hamas. The British PM also mentioned the situation born of starvation in Gaza in his speech.
The announcement came after a change in the UK policy when the stormer in July laid the conditions in front of Israel. These included a ceasefire in Gaza, permission for humanitarian aid, rejecting the occupation of the West Bank and moving towards two nation solutions. Earlier, Canada became the first country in the G-7 countries, recognizing Palestine. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney issued a statement saying that in this way Canada is fulfilling the promise of being part of the integrated efforts of the international community regarding the state solution. Carney also said in his statement that this recognition empowers those who want the end of Hamas and peaceful co -existence.

Shortly thereafter, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also issued a statement regarding this announcement. Meanwhile, Israeli’s Foreign Ministry has termed it an award for Hamas. It was said from Australia that he formally recognizes independent and sovereign Palestinian Rajya. By doing this, Australia recognizes the valid and long -standing aspirations of the people of Palestine. He emphasized the immediate ceasefire and release of hostages in Gaza. Also said that Hamas will not have any place in Palestine’s future rule.
However, Israel has strongly opposed this. Israel has strongly condemned the move. A post shared by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on X states that Palestine is an award for Jihadi Hamas. The statement further states that Hamas leaders have already said that such recognition is the result of the October 7 incident.
