Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday appreciated the implementation of the next generation Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms and described it as a gift of festivals for the country. CM Yogi said that today is the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. And on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the biggest improvement in GST to the whole country … Life -saving medicines have been freed from GST. GST on all other medicines has been reduced to 5% … GST has been reduced to 5% or 0% for farmers. GST has also been reduced to 0% on students’ stationery. This will give new pace to the Indian economy and will celebrate the common consumer festivals with great enthusiasm.

Every citizen and consumers are celebrating their festivals …
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the next generation Goods and Services Tax reforms on Monday and described it as a double gift given to people during the festival season.
Addressing a public event in Itanagar, the Prime Minister said, “The next generation GST reforms have come into force from today and GST savings festival has started. People have received double gifts on the occasion of festivals.”

During this program, PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 5,100 crore. He laid the foundation stone of the Hydrian Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydropower Project (186 MW) to be developed in Siom sub-basin in Arunachal Pradesh. He also laid the foundation stone of a state -of -the -art convention center in Tawang and several major infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 1,290 crore, which will meet the needs of various fields including connectivity, health, fire security and hostels of working women. Earlier this month, improvement in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure was approved during the 56th meeting of the GST Council. The previous four-slab system has been replaced by a streamlined two-slab system of 5 percent and 18 percent.
