Unknown people opened fire on car in Punjab, couple narrowly survived

Four unidentified people opened fire on a couple’s car in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, in which they narrowly survived. The police gave this information on Sunday. The incident took place late Saturday near Khanpur village.

Police said that Satnam Singh, a resident of Jazz, was returning from Mahilpur Community Health Center with his wife Jaswinder Kaur. Police said that as soon as they reached near Khanpur village, four people riding on a motorcycle and scooter gestured them and when Singh did not stop the car, the accused opened fire on them.

Police said the accused fired three bullets, in which two bullets were hit on the previous indicator of the car and on a window. Police said no one was injured in the incident. The couple later informed the police.

Police station in -charge (SHO) inspector Jai Pal of Mahilpur said that an FIR has been lodged against unknown persons under the related sections of the Arms Act and investigation has been started.
